A Legacy of Growth

Sometimes, plants must be divided so they have room to grow and flourish. This is the reason we replanted ourselves as Johnson’s Legacy Landscapes in Wichita, KS just a few short years ago. Looking back to when we were first “planted” as a division of Johnson’s Garden Centers in the mid 1980’s, our team nurtured the growth of the landscape division to a point in December 2007 that we felt it would be beneficial to divide the company into two separate entities to allow for more growth among us.

Since our replanting, we have followed the philosophy instilled in us by our forefathers, Harold and Orie Johnson. They lived by the philosophy of honesty, hard work, and doing the best they could in all that they did. At Johnson’s Legacy Landscapes, we strive to maintain and nurture this philosophy while providing the highest quality landscaping services you’ll find in the Wichita area.

Our mission continues to be one that provides professional landscape consultation, design and installation services for clients, and serving in both residential and commercial capacities.

Legacy – A Gift of Beauty that Lasts for Generations

From a practical standpoint, professional landscaping is an investment that helps increase the appeal and value of your home or business. Landscaping is an investment that, when properly planned and implemented, will provide years of enjoyment and value to your property. Our philosophy is to provide these services utilizing our knowledgeable employees as well as the highest quality plants, products and services with a desire to do it right the first time.

Our employees have a wealth of experience and have chosen the landscape industry as their profession, not just their job. Our landscape design personnel have landscape design degrees or a wealth of hands-on practical experience with combined experience of 60+ years. This training and experience allows us to tailor designs to each individual’s unique tastes, desires and site considerations. Our landscape crew leaders also have varying degrees of formal training and hands on experience. Many of our crew personnel have been employed by our company for a minimum of three to five years.

When scheduling a client’s installation, we consider which skill set is best suited for each installation and assign those foremen and crewmembers that we feel will best be able to accomplish that particular installation. In many occasions, our landscape designers are involved during the installation process insuring our client’s satisfaction. Our client’s satisfaction is our goal, and we take the time to do it right the first time.
